Modern art is sort of a myth to me....The thing is that I don't really get the concept....Painting should be an art that the common people understand and enjoy...Trying to put too much meaning or too many layers of meaning to a painting destroys its beauty..That's what I feel....

Personally I have never been able to understand the thought behind a painting that an artist put in it without being explained...Other that or you can obviously interpret the painting's thought as you want to,regardless the fact whether the painter agrees or not.....I have never really tried modern art neither have learnt it...

Retrospection

Today I was watching a 90's Bollywood film and I realized how much modernization of thoughts and mentality has taken place in Hindi cinemas over the last few years.Whereas in the 90's the image of a woman was always portrayed as of a well mannered, beautiful and helpless individual who's sole aim in life was to take care of her family......while in today's films women are portrayed as strong, independent individuals who can take care of themselves as well as others quite efficiently....

But the present scenario in the society suggests that with this advancement in the mental setback of the society it has also led to women being more exposed to the dark side of the world....Women facing molestation has become a natural phenomenon....But the positive side to all this is that while women could not protest to being molested earlier due the fear of society stigma or any other 'grave' issues; today's woman can protest....Result????Men are not taking a chance and are attempting to murder the women in the fear of being caught.....So the question arises: has the scenario really changed for good???Has modernization of the society increased the risk to women????Why is it so???Will there ever come a time when women can come out of their houses at anytime of the day without a shred of fear in their minds or a body guard by their sides???I am waiting

Some of my paintings :)
Painting is my passion. Its a part of my soul.....Even tough I have a lot to learn and a lot of experience to gain before I can consider myself to be an artist, still I must admit that I have a God's gift....

Frankly I don't quite understand the concept of blogging...I don't really believe in publicly demonstrating my thoughts online and so I won't really do it....I have started this blog to interact with people who love to paint or appreciate painting as a skill....and also I am quite open to suggestions and criticism...I'll try to take every criticism as sportingly as possible.... so all the best to me :D .....

Let the blogging begin voila!!!!!!!!
